WHY RUNNING: I FEEL I CAN BRING SOME NEEDED VARIETY TO OUR SMALL LOCAL SCHOOL-AN EXISTING SMALL GROUP OF LIKE MINDED FOLKS TEND TO BLOCK NEW IDEAS FROM SUCCEEDING.

ISSUES: I WOULD LIKE TO INCREASE THE BOARD SIZE TO 5 FROM 3-THE CURRENT BOARD WILL NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN-I AM WORKING ON CHANGING THE CA ED. CODE TO ALLOW PEOPLE TO USE THEIR CIVIL RIGHTS TO MAKE A CHANGE WHEN A 3 MEMBER BOARD DENIES INCREASE AND TO ALLOW A 5 MEMBER BOARD TO DECREASE TO 3.

VOLUNTEER WORK AND FUNDRAISING NEED TO BE SUPPORTED-PARCEL TAXES SHOULD BE LEFT TO INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY OWNERS-THUS ELIMINATING NEGATIVE FEELINGS TOWARD THE SCHOOL-PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE TO BE FORCED INTO SUPPORTING CAUSES BY THEIR NEIGHBORS-LET THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE PUBLIC DECIDE ON HOW TO BEST SUPPORT EDUCATION IN OUR COMMUNITY-I AM CURRENTLY IN TOUCH WITH THE CA TAX PAYERS ASSOCIATION TO TRY TO ELIMINATE PARCEL TAXES BEING BEING PASSED BY UNFAIR VOTING PRACTICES-FOR EXAMPLE: BEING ABLE TO VOTE ON PARCEL TAXES WHEN YOU DON'T OWN PROPERTY.

I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE MORE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES AT THE SCHOOL: ORGANIC HOT/COLD LUNCHES-RECYCLED PAPER PRODUCTS-ECO FRIENDLY CLEANING AGENTS.
