BIOGRAPHY

Michael Smith, a resident of the Blacklake Estates since 1998 with his wife Peggy, was born, raised and educated in Fresno. After serving in the U.S. Navy submarine service at Pearl Harbor, Michael received a degree in civil engineering and worked for architectural and engineering firms before starting a civil and structural engineering business in the Central Valley of California.

Since 1971, he has prepared the designs, drawings and specifications for residential subdivisions, water and wastewater treatment plants, water wells with piping and treatment systems, environmental clean-up and mitigation programs, infrastructure and public works projects, irrigation systems, agricultural and industrial plants, telecommunications facilities, buildings, roads, bridges, and seismic studies and structure rehabilitations.

Michael has long been involved in community service.
