Top Priorities if Elected
  • Building workforce housing near places of employment. Traffic congestion, pollution, and other perils result from failing to do so.
  • Protect and promote SLO downtown as a multi-use cultural, entertainment, restaurant, shopping, residential, governmental, and professional center.
  • Enhance Quality of Life, increase public access to creek areas downtown, develop more parklike settings, and more bicycle and pedestrian access.

San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition Questions and Answers
Shane Kramer is a strong supporter of alternative transportation which includes public transit, the use of alternative fuel vehicles, and capital improvements to make San Luis Obispo more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. The answers included are to written questions addressed to Shane Kramer by the San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition in September 2004.
Chamber of Commerce Questions and Answers
Shane Kramer is a strong advocate for workforce housing in San Luis Obispo and for the city to play a supporting role in the development and expansion of new and existing small businesses in the community. Small businesses must be the backbone of the economy for the city of San Luis Obispo. The written questions included were asked of Shane Kramer to be included in the October Newsletter for the San Luis Obispo City Chamber of Commerce.

Shane Kramer supports efforts to create in San Luis Obispo an economy that permits working families to both work and live in the city of San Luis Obispo. Further, Shane Kramer believes that the driving force behind violent behavior such as experienced during Mardi Gras week 2004 is the abuse of alcohol which is not being addressed by the leadership for the City of San Luis Obispo.
