political jeopardy

By Thomas A "Tom" Benigno

Candidate for Mayor; City of Tracy

The issues that are before the candidates. Right or wrong?
The issues before the candidates are an example of political jeopardy. If you decide on either measure you could lose thirty five to fifty percent of your votes. Is this fair for the people who are looking for someone to take over the reign's of a city council or a mayor? If the present council and mayor do nothing, he or she could win hands down. The other candidates are out working to make something happen, to change the direction of the race. The newspapers and the media already have their agenda in concrete on the issue U and V & A. As we saw last night, it had nothing to do with the candidates. Those who want the plans that have been implimented will vote on those that made the decisions on the measures. There are those that say one thing and do something else. We hope that this community will wake up and move out those who are presently in office. The question is, do the citizen's deserve better? Yes they do. If i'm elected I will assure you all that this will never happen again. I will make it a point not to give in to partisan politics.
