Political Philosophy for Carl H. Starrett, II
Candidate for |
My wife and I have lived in Rancho San Diego since 1994 and we have chosen to raise our 7-year-old daughter in this community. My business is located in East County and I am committed to maintaining the quality of life we enjoy in this community. I will provide representation on the Valle De Oro Planning Group as one who has both witnessed and experienced the trends and consequences of planning efforts. If elected, my goals will be to make more accessible parks, seek the completion of Sheriff's substation in Rancho San Diego and to press county and state officials for better traffic and growth management. My impartial and independent views will allow me to maintain these goals when zoning decisions are made and while making recommendations for future plans like the General Plan 2020. When my daughter is hopefully planning a family and buying a home in this community, I hope to preserve for her the same quality of life our family enjoys today. I will work to protect the rights of property owners who are seeking to wade their way through the County's unnecessarily complex building bureaucracy. I will also go out of my way to keep you informed when pending changes are not consistent with our rural heritage. |
