A good school board has the ability to listen, communicate and prioritize needs of the district students and employees while striving for consensus. Open communication between a school district, community and city is needed to enhance the awareness of what has to be done to keep Santee the best place to raise a family. Invole more businesses, non-profit groups and parents to compensate budget cuts especially in the classrooms. Promote a common sense approach to addressing the various issues that challenge a school district in today's society.
