Candidate for
City Council Member; City of Santa Maria

This information is provided by the candidate

If elected as your city council person, I promise to serve the public's interest to the best of my ability. My e-mail address will be monitored daily for all citizens of Santa Maria to express their views and oppinions about issues concerning each and every individual.

I will promise to uphold the votes and or decisions of the public on each issue that comes to the agenda of the council. I will take into consideration of every person making comment on every issue to be decided on, not the politicians in Sacramento or any special interest group as I have accepted no money from anyone and owe no favor to anyone as well.

I will bring new fresh ideas to the city concerning the interest of all the people of Santa Maria. This includes but is not limited to affordable housing and rent control for the young generation of this city as well as the present population. Safe Water will always be a priority. Transportation will be improved dramatically as to invite competition to the private sector including the possibility of subsidising. The Fire Department and Police Department will be on the top of the list to bring new funds to the General Fund as well as trim city spending to make more available funds for the health and safety of this comunity which comes from Fire and Police as well as public transportation to make our streets more safe.

If for some reason I am elected and the citizens are not happy with my performance, and as a result, over 4500 signitures are collected to remove me from office as was the present city council, I will respectfully step down. If the city is happy with my performance as a councilman, I ask for a second term to really make a differance. I will not run for more than two terms and I will try to pass an ordinance limiting all council and mayor positions to be limited for two terms.

I will try to have an ordinance passed as to have special elections for office in the council if for some reason a member is not able to finish his or her term so there will be no more "appointments for office"
