Leadership from the top.

By Chuck Cunningham

Candidate for Board Member; Natomas Unified School District

This information is provided by the candidate
In order to attract quality teachers to Natomas we need leadership that can establish confidence and credibility with the teachers.
The Natomas Unified School District Board must provide leadership from the top. A United District will be powerful, where as a divided District will be concurred and ineffective. Being united can only be accomplished with full communication in both directions. The Board must listen to the students, teachers and classified employees and provide integration and motivation at all levels. Five critical factors that will help accomplish our goals:

1. We need to get needed money to the classroom.
2. We need to make sure that students have updated textbooks.
3. We need a process to effectively remove disruptive students.
4. We must reward teachers that excel.
5. Most of all, we need to cut waste and inefficiency.
