Candidate for
Board Member; Galt Joint Union High School District

As a community, we need to address the real issues at the high school level immediately. We need to address all of the many problems associated with our steadily expanding student base. Having gone to many, many GHS Board meetings over the last 5 years, I am aware of what the problems have been and what has already been tried. I will support improved communications within the Board, among community members and all interested groups. I will promote parent involvement. I will insure a balanced budget each year, and proper fiscal accountability. I will support the continuation of student incentive programs started last year to insure standards-based student performance.

We need to continue to upgrade existing facilities, as we move forward to build a new continuation high school and a second regular high school as soon as possible to alleviate over-crowding on existing campuses. I will support programs that will make the educational experience for each and every student at Galt High a safe, positive and intellectually challenging experience. I promise to be part of the solution to District problems by continuing the forward progress we have just started.
