"As a council member, it will be my business to include our citizens in deciding the future of Corona"

Corona Tomorrow

I believe we can ensure Corona's future through five key directives.

1. Restore open, responsive government: decision making based on secrecy leads to mismanagement and abuse

"I will focus on creating an open, responsive government that better serves the residents and businesses of our community."

2. Civic participation: we need to make it easier for our citizens to participate in deciding the future of our city

3. Lead the creation of a consolidated sports complex for Corona youth and adult sports activities

4. Address our healthcare crisis: the growth of our city has overwhelmed Corona Regional Medical Center. We need to improve our hospital's services so our citizens don't have to go elsewhere for quality healthcare.

5. Biomedical job creation: Corona can attract biotech research and development companies, bringing thousands of well-paying jobs to our city.

Too Much of a Bad Thing

"Representing the people of Corona means that every decision the City Council makes has to be above reproach."

As a citizen of Corona, I have become increasingly disturbed by the political in-fighting taking place within our city council. Charges of wrongdoing against the current council members have played out in the newspaper over the past few years, and have cast the City of Corona in a negative light.

To make matters worse, it now costs nearly $100,000 to run a successful city council campaign in Corona. In a city this size, the need to raise that much money can lead to undue influence of our elected officials.

Forgotten in the Process

I believe some areas of the city have been neglected over the years. The city appears to have forgotten these communities in the decision making process, failing to address what is most important to their citizens.

The city's resources should be distributed equitably to ensure that all of our citizens feel they have a stake in our future.
