Smart Voter Political Philosophy for David Marquez

Candidate for
Council Member; City of Moreno Valley; Council District 3

This information is provided by the candidate

If and when elected, I will work with my colleagues to create Moreno Valley own police department. When the police department receives grants, we send officers to special training. When that officer gets reassigned, he or she takes that knowledge with them leaving the city with nothing. The vehicles these officers drive lack the maintenance and care.

The fire department is contracted with the County of Riverside. The County of Riverside contracts from California Department of Foresty. What's wrong with this picture? Our we paying more than we should?

Growth. We need a plan to control the growth. Growth is good because of the permits generating revenue but bad for our overcrowded schools. We need to work with our schools. Roads are in dire need of repairs. Some of our private roads are undriveable. We need to take care of what we have now. Not build new roads so developers can build homes.

Finally, bring manufacturing companies to Moreno Valley. With these companies, jobs are created for our residents. Helps our economy. Lets push for the new hub at March Field.
