I see a safe and healthy community with clear skies and no jets overhead from a commercial airport at El Toro. A community where the loudest sound disturbing our tranquility is the voices of children at play.
I want a city that our residents are proud to call home, a place where families want to live and to raise their children.
I want a city that works closely with the school district, youth sports organizations, the YMCA, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and many others to provide positive activities for our children after school, a city where the pillars of character counts, trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship, are integrated in the culture and our daily activities. I want a city that seeks to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of the community to contribute to young people's growth in body, mind, and spirit.
I want a city with a low crime rate where residents feel secure.
I want well-maintained streets, parks and landscaped public areas.
I want clean creeks and beaches and ocean water.
I want this all for a city that keeps its expenditures within the limits of its revenues.
