Candidate for
Member, City Council; City of Laguna Woods

I have served as the President (2years) and Treasurer (1 year) of the Golden Rain Foundation Board of Directors. Prior to that, the condominium homeowners elected me to the Board of Third Laguna Mutual where I serves as its Treasurer.

Prior to moving to Leisure World 14 years ago, I served as Chairman of Metuchen, N.J. Rent Stabilization Board for 15 years. This Board operated under very strict sunshine laws which demanded open discussion and decisions, similar to California's Brown Act. I also served for 5 years on the State Tax Committee of the New Jersey Society of CPA's. This organization routinely met with the N.J. State officials to develop tax law policy and provide tax law interpretations.

I am a retired Certified Public Accountant. I was a partner in a successful accountancy practice for more than 25 years. I have been in the construction business and have managed an industrial supply warehouse. In 1941, I received my B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Finance of the University of Pennsylvania. I served overseas in the European Theater during World War II.

As a current director of Saddleback Associates Board, I am dedicated to provide quality health care to our community. I am a member of Laguna Woods Mens' Golf Club and the Leisure World Historical Society. Formerly, I served with my wife Marilyn on the Leisure World Community Concert Association.
