Financial Experience for Cypress - Phil Luebben is a Financial and Contracts Audit Manager for the Southern California Edison Company. He has over twenty year's financial experience in auditing, accounting, and management. Phil has what it takes to maintain Cypress as a well-managed, financially-sound, and fiscally-prudent city that is accountable to the citizens of Cypress.

Strong Credentials - Phil graduated from the University of Southern California with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, and earned his juris doctorate from Loyola Law School. He is a licensed CPA and Attorney.

Deep Roots in Cypress - Phil's connection to the City dates back to 1979, when his family moved to Cypress and opened a business that operated in Cypress for many years.

Community Involvement - Phil Luebben has a long history of community involvement. He served as a member of the Cypress Recreation and Community Services Commission for five years, between 1999 and 2004. Additionally, he is a member of the Vessels Elementary School Site Council, a Local Board Member on the U.S. Selective Service Commission, and a graduate of the Cypress Citizens Police Academy. Phil also regularly participates with his children in activities of the Seal Beach/Cypress Aquatics Youth Swim Club, and the VFW Youth Group.

Phil is committed to assuring that the quality of life we have come to expect in Cypress will be preserved and enhanced.

Phil Luebben was born in Los Angeles, California on May 3, 1960. He and his wife, Maricel, live in Cypress with their children: Gabrielle, age 9, and Phil, Jr., age 4.
