As your City Councilwoman from 1998 to 2002, I worked hard to strengthen police and fire resources, protect taxpayers, improve neighborhoods, protect our public utility, expand library services, create more parks and improve streets, sidewalks and sewers. I am committed to Anaheim's future. There is much more that I would like to do. With your support, my work on behalf of the citizens of our community can continue. Public Service is a privilege. I would be honored to have your vote.

While on council, I added more police officers, supported and strengthened community policing and kept the INS officer stationed in the City Jail, all leading to lower crime rates.

I led the successful effort to eliminate the Sacramento-mandated 2.85% public benefit fee on your utility bill, saving you, the ratepayer, over $7 million per year.

More parks were added such as Washington and Walnut; and skateboarders also have two new skateboard parks to enjoy. The Tiger Woods Learning Center located at Dad Miller golf course, where kids go for academic enrichment and mentoring programs, was approved, and we broke ground for the West Anaheim Police Station, gymnasium and youth center on Beach Blvd.

I believe anyone who wants to own a home should have the opportunity, and I worked diligently with developers to build quality housing for all income levels, including senior citizens.

Even when city revenues were low I always fought for and received more money in the budget for sidewalk repair and tree trimming -- quality of life issues that affect us all.

I made and kept campaign promises in 1998 and will do the same in 2004.

The resort area is beautiful and successful. It's time to put more time, money and resources into the city's neighborhoods. I fought to have $4 million dollars allocated from resort funds for neighborhood improvement each year, but that is not enough. I believe there is more money available, and I will fight for it.

With these additional monies, here's my plan to improve Anaheim's neighborhoods: 1) Develop a sign ordinance for businesses on our major streets to clean up visual clutter created by the current signs; 2) Fast-track undergrounding of utility lines in our neighborhoods; 3) Change the law so stolen shopping carts can be removed from our streets and sidewalks in one day, as opposed to current law that requires the city to wait three days before removing them; 4) Add more money in the budget for tree trimming, sidewalk repair and storm drain improvement; 5) Create landscape medians on major thoroughfares; 6) Maintain the integrity of the Colony District; and 7) Preserve and develop more open space in the Hills.

I will work with school districts to light their sports fields to increase the supply of recreational facilities available for community use, but not where it would have a negative impact on neighbors.

As a board member of the Anaheim Family YMCA, I know how important it is for the city to work with non-profit organizations such as the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Disney Goals and the Anaheim Police Athletic League to provide more after school programs for our kids. I will lead that effort.

As a businesswoman, I know how important it is to have a one-stop shop for businesses and developers, saving them and the city time and money. Let's make it easier for people to do business in Anaheim. Anaheim needs to attract more companies with high-paying jobs that provide the services and products our residents need while increasing our tax base.

I will add more police officers to our department; will build a much needed new fire station in West Anaheim and make sure police and fire have the resources they need to provide for the city's #1 priority -- our public safety.

We have too much traffic congestion in Anaheim -- our residents and visitors waste hundreds of frustrating hours each year sitting, not moving, on our city streets. We need a councilwoman with the vision and experience to work with CalTrans, OCTA and the city's Transportation Department to find real solutions. This will lead to less waiting in traffic and less time wasted. I also will work to synchronize traffic lights for still more efficient movement of traffic.

Our library system is 102 years old and is showing signs of aging. While on council, I supported a new downtown Central Library, and I believe it can still happen.

I'm excited about the revitalization of a section of the downtown and will work to revitalize and beautify other areas of downtown and the rest of Anaheim.

While designing and evaluating the new clubhouse at Anaheim Hills Golf Course, I was the voice on council who insisted the banquet room be increased from 250-person capacity to 350. I made it happen, and I'm pleased to report it has been a huge financial success for the taxpayer. It is a beautiful facility for the community.

I've been involved in Anaheim business since 1979. My husband, Ron, and I have lived here since 1989. I believe in giving back to the community, so I serve on the boards of Anaheim Memorial Medical Center, Anaheim Family YMCA, and Anaheim Chamber of Commerce. I'm a graduate of Leadership Anaheim and a member of its advisory board. I am a VP of the Anaheim Rotary Club and a VP of the Canyon Hills Community Council. I co-chaired the Taste of the Canyon in 2002 and 2003, co-chaired the 4th of July events in 2004 and will again in 2005, am a volunteer painter and celebrity waiter with Paint Your Heart Out Anaheim which helps the elderly and disabled to maintain their homes.

I believe in Anaheim and her potential. I would be honored to have your vote. I am number ten on the ballot for city council.
