I was born and raised in Southern California, spending the vast majority of my life here in North Orange County. I spent my youth in the city of Placentia, attending Ruby Drive Elementary, Topaz Elementary, Kramer Junior High and Valencia High School, graduating in 1981.

Out of high school, I began my training as a Machinist at Fullerton Community College while working at a machine shop in Anaheim. I was certified as a Machinist in 1983.

After substaining an injury on the job in late 1984, I began a long transition into the field of computers. After many years of learning and proving myself on the job, I became a Software Engineer which I have enjoyed doing for the last 13 years.

Fortunately, I had the love of a wonderful woman who has been by my side through these changes. I have been married to Kim for over 21, wonderful years. She grew up in Yorba Linda. With her having relatives that were here long before many of us, I am provided with a perspective few today have. I have two great kids, ages 12 and 9. I love to coach them and other children in the Upward Basketball program at our Church, Rose Drive Friends.

Kim and I moved back to Yorba Linda 7 years ago after living in other parts of North Orange County for several years. We live in a townhouse in the Jamestowne Townhomes community in West Yorba Linda where I currently serve as Vice-President on the Board of Directors.

My interest in the political process has increased over the last 15 plus years and has spurred my desire to serve my community as a Council Member for the City of Yorba Linda.
