I am a Doctor and a Lawyer and a Teacher

My BS and M.D. degrees were earned from the University of Illinois. I had 5 years of post graduate training as an OB/GYN doctor at Chicago's Cook County Hospital.

I served as a Naval Medical Officer in the Korean conflict. I practiced in Chicago and taught at the Cook County Hospital and Northwestern Medical School. I attended Loyola University Law School and passed the bar. In addition to my teaching of OB/GYN, I taught Law, Medicine and Ethics to medical students.

I was:

• The President of the Medical Staff at Cook County Hospital
• A consultant to the Chicago Board of Health
• A founding member of the Chicago Medical Ethics Committee
• A member of many medical and legal professional organizations
• Vice President and Director, Third Laguna Hills Mutual
• Member of Project 21 (Long Range Planning)
• Member of the Government Relations Committee of the Multiple Sclerosis Society
• Volunteer in the fight against the El Toro commercial airport
• Commissioner, of Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), that incorporated our city, annexes "islands" to cities and reviews municipal services
• Trustee of the Orange County Vector Control District, since 1999, and have been the conduit between the County, City and our local pest control experts. Mosquitoes, a constant problem are carriers of the West Nile Virus and have arrived in Orange County.
