Political Philosophy for Douglas F. Crane
Candidate for |

|
In my view the duty of every council person is to objectively look at the long term health/viability of the community. To ask questions, listen to the answers, seek the course of action or inaction that fits within the moral and written rules, in the context of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of this nation, and, that does the greatest good or the least damage to the whole without violation of the rights of others. We must create or attract value added jobs such as growing and harvesting crops, producing finished goods, producing facilities and tools that add value and move products to market, while creating substantial taxable infrastructure. Public jobs, housing and jobs without taxable infrastructure do not provide enough tax base. I believe we can best accomplish these tasks through a process of: find capable willing people, train them to understand the tools, methods and goals of the group, provide them with tools, authority and time to accomplish the goals. Communicate before, during and after the task/s to be sure the goals are reached, the group fulfilled. Mean and say "Thank you". |
