Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Pam Neal

Candidate for
Board Member; Standard School District

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe that parents are a very important component in the educational process. I have been very fortuate to be able to serve in the Standard School District in a variety of capacities. I have worked as a parent volunteer in the class room. I have served on various district committees. And I have been involved on a county level. So I understand a lot about the many facets of education. Unfortunately, today local control is rather limited. Many of the school policies are mandated by state and federal government. However, a parent can still make a difference. I encourage all parents to become active in their child's school. We need to be involved in the educational process. The education of our children is a team effort between parents, teachers, and administrators. This is the message of PTA and I sincerely believe it. By all members working together our children benefit.
