This information is provided by the candidate
California's new and rigorous standards require more from our students and teachers. The public has every right to expect the same high standards from BCSD board members.
  • Public schools can strengthen families, create good jobs and help sustain our economy. I believe a strong public school system is a resource that must be supported so that it can continue to reap rewards for generations to come.
  • Schools need to be more effective at communicating with parents about school conditions and student progress. This knowledge will empower parents to become more involved in their children's education
  • Finally, I have trust in public education and the many fine professionals that work in our schools. I trust that teachers and administrators will do their job and as a board member I will seek to make sure this trust is never broken.

    This is the year for change on the BCSD Board of Education
