Lory S. Johnson I am one of ten children and was raised in Michigan. I graduated from Midland Senior High School. I attended Michigan State University, graduating in 1970 when I joined Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA).

I taught at Our Lady of the Snows School in MO for one year. I taught teacher training at Chanute Air Force Base for four years. I developed and administered an apprentice training program for the Navy in the SF Bay Area, and administered a competency based education program for the Navy.

After working for the Federal Service for 27 years, I retired in 2001. I began working at Pleasant Valley Adult School in June 2001. My daughter attends Coalinga Sr. High, and my husband has a law practice in Coalinga.
