Born in Greece to the family of an Assemblies of minister at the time, my parents were pioneering churches in the Northern part of the country. When my family came back to America (my father was an American Citizen) I came back mithe empty pockets. I was penniless and homeless. Although borke, my heart was full of hope that I came to this promised land. I started doing gardening work but was not getting anywhere. Frustrated? Yes I was. Until someone set me down and told all about the benefits of a good education. He showed me the way to City College and Fresno State and helped get a student loan. I am foreever grateful to that counselor, for today, thirty seven years later, thanks to him, I am living the American Dream. I own my own business (CPA practice), I own my home, I am married and have three children who are also living the American Dream

Why am running for this office? Because I want help, I want to help young people of races, color and backgrounds, so that they too can live the American Dream. Therefore, when I get elected, I will make sure that District treats faculty and staff with dignity and respect. In my opinion, these two groups are the most valuable asset the school has. For without them, there is no school.

I am also running for office, because I believe that as a Certified Public Accountant with thirty plus years experience in public accounting, I am best qualified to make a substantial contribution to the board in the areas of budgets, costs audits and all other matters impacting the finances. We live in uncertain financial times. There is no doubt that with the ever widening state shortfall, the commodity we all know as CASH will get scarcer. I believe, in these time of financial uncertainty, every board can use the imput of Certified Public Accountant.

In closing,at this stage of my life, sixty one years old, having been blessed richly by this community, I want to give back part of the benefits I got. In reality, I am returning the favor done to me thirty seven years ago.
