Trustee; Fresno Unified School District; Trustee Area 3

As a teacher/parent in FUSD for over 22 years, I've worked to improve things at many schools. I've worked with budgets at elementary, middle, and high schools best utilizing available funds to positively impact children. I'm a product of FUSD, as are my children. I'm a credentialed teacher as is my husband, Coach Mike Davis, and my daughter is currently finishing her credential at CSU Fresno. My experience working with families in FUSD and the military, as the wife of an Army Commander, has allowed me to bring people from all walks of life together working for common goals.

Parents know best the needs of their children. Nobody works harder to prepare our students to meet the challenges of tomorrow than teachers. Things need improvement, but improving our schools requires parents and teachers at the table where decisions are made. As your Trustee, students, parents, teachers, and administrators all need to participate. Trustees must respect teachers, parents, and students, while working with them in partnership to improve education for our children. Cooperation, not conflict, will meet our challenges.
