The media has labeled me "The Mystery Candidate."

Many voters have asked me about my background as I am not a career politician and have never been in the public eye.

I'm simply a local resident who grew up in Contra Costa + I was a Boy Scout here (Troop 410) and an altar boy at Saint Stephens Church for 7 years before graduating from Ygnacio Valley High School and joining the active duty Air Force.

After 10 years I returned to this area and spent another 10 years in the California Air National Guard while earning a degree in Political Science at San Francisco State University.

I recently earned a commission in the Air Force Reserve after returning from a deployment to Iraq last year.

Over the last five years I have worked on various drug interdiction task forces created by U.S. Customs, the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement and the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force based out of San Francisco. My main focus was tracking down everything from street gangs to international cartels and gathering enough intelligence on them for law enforcement personnel to arrest (and prosecutors to convict) these menaces that poison our society.

As a resident of the city of Walnut Creek I've witnessed some changes. Some were improvements, other changes have been for the worse. I am particularly concerned about the giveaway of this city's local authority and local control to bureaucracies not answerable to Walnut Creek residents disguising itself as "Smart" Growth. This term is a clever attempt to disguise what it TRULY is: Central Planning and Social Engineering.

So now I am compelled to serve in another manner, through the privilege of earning your vote and holding public office.

If I am elected the interests of the RESIDENTS (instead of the businesses owned by people who live outside of our city, the consumers who shop here and others who don't have a stake in our city) of Walnut Creek will be my foremost priority.
