By Stephenie Teichman

Candidate for Board Member; Lafayette School District

This information is provided by the candidate
Why Should I Vote for Stephenie Teichman?
My experience and personal skills make me the best candidate for the Lafayette School Board.

Experience

· District-wide - My experience across the district includes leadership roles in Parent Club, Site Council, LASF, RAPPORT, and the Revenue Study Committee. This broad experience has enabled me to see the inner-workings of Lafayette education on all levels, and makes me the best candidate for the Lafayette School Board.

· Financial information + My educational background in accounting, and law, together with my legal experience in corporate law, and negotiated transactions had developed my skills in financial analysis and management. My work on the Revenue Study Committee has provided me with a clear understanding of the financial condition of the District and how it might be improved.

· Teaching + My experience as a teacher of business law gives me additional insights as to what really works in the classroom.

Personal Skills

· Consensus Builder + My reputation of working well with others is firmly established via my leadership roles. Whether the situation is amicable or fraught with tension, I have the ability to work towards the common good.

· Innovator + I have a proven track record of developing creative ideas to achieve our goals (examples include the creation of the grant writing committee at Springhill, collaborative effort in the development of the District Technology Plan).
