TRANSPORTATION, WELL PLANNED AND EXECUTED GROWTH, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC SAFETY, AND COMMUNITY PRIDE AND INVOLVEMENT my reasons for running for re-election.Four years ago I ran for a seat on the City Council because I believed that the residents of this city deserved better. At that time, I ran on five basic issues: TRANSPORTATION, WELL PLANNED AND EXECUTED GROWTH, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, PUBLIC SAFETY, AND COMMUNITY PRIDE AND INVOLVEMENT. I am back before you seeking re-election on the same five basic issues. We as a city have a lot of work ahead of us, but I believe that we have turned the corner and began to raise the bar for the residents of this city. During the last four years, this council has approached issues professionally and treated each other with respect. Unfortunately, this was not the case during the prior decade, which caused Antioch to fall behind. Over the past four years, I have fought to METER GROWTH TO INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS. Simply adding additional housing stock to the city is not going to solve the traffic on Highway 4, over crowded school conditions, or our understaffed Police Department. To correct this, it will take vision and determination. We can't settle for the quick fix, we must plan and execute with a VISION FOR THE FUTURE, anything less is selling this community and the residents short. If re-elected, I will continue to support additional retail, dining and employment opportunities, including the master plan redevelopment of the downtown. I WILL continue to FIGHT FUA #1 and the URBAN LIMIT LINE until there is infrastructure to support it. It would be an honor to continue to serve you, so please vote on November 2.
