Alameda is where we live, Alameda is where we play, and Alameda is where we call home. At the same time, the City of Alameda is a $250 million dollar enterprise, which requires careful fiscal planning. With this in mind you are asked to decide who has the background to ask the tough questions that command the best answers for you. As a financial analyst for a billion dollar Silicon Valley semiconductor firm, I ask that you let me serve as your next city council member. My education in finance at Santa Clara University along, with my MBA from San Francisco State University has given me a foundation to make prudent economic decisions. Additionally, my seasons as an ARPD recreation leader, my current position as the Encinal High School tennis coach, along with my numerous community activities, keep me in tune with the best interests of all Alamedans. As a lifetime Alameda resident and as a young homeowner, I am concerned about the quality of life we face in the future with the current council's blanket budget cuts and quick trigger to raise taxes and fees. I want to work with the city council to preserve Alameda's charm within a dynamic economic environment filled with land re-use issues, retail center revivals and new neighborhoods.
