LISTING OF BART'S MISMANAGEMENT1. a $42.5 million dollar deficit. 2. A continual increase of fares (3 in the last 24 mos.) 3. 255 days & still counting to repair broken "disabled rider" exit gates used by the handicapped. 4. Continual layoffs of operational employees whil the top four executive managers received a $35,000 annual pay increase. 5. Six weeks was required to figure out where the BART's missing elevator permits were filed. 6. Security - oh yes, the bathrooms have been closed to ward off "terrorism." 7. $21,505. was paid in fines to Cal-OSHA. 8. It took 197 days to repair the out-of-order train station signs. 9. With the Feds not supporting project, the San Jose extension is definitely at risk. 10.Cost overages for the SFO extension took funds planned for the Livermore extension. 11.One of the main parking lots for the SFO station has been closed for nonuse. |
