"Experience we can count on" "Leadership we can trust"I am honored to have served Union City for over 10 years. Due to my leadership as a Councilmember and Vice-Mayor, Union City is a better place to live. I will maintain the tradition of excellence I started, such as safer streets, new parks, additional library hours, hillside open space, quality school systems, transportation, jobs and promoting economic development. I worked to approve Union Landing, which provides local shopping, entertainment, generates hundreds of jobs and brings millions of dollars in sales tax to Union City. I worked to balance the budget by creating a Citizens Advisory Committee to audit and review all government spending, while ensuring that public safety remained priority number one. I will work for the completion on a new library, affordable housing, regional transit center, youth and senior programs and vibrant downtown embracing smart growth principles. I would like your support to help me continue with my vision for the future of Union City. For 17 years my wife Carmen and I have lived in Union City with our son Andrew, who is now 16 and attends school in Union City. I have the experience and leadership to keep Union City an All America city. I sincerely ask for your vote. http://www.elias2004.com |
