I developed my pragmatic populist inclinations while learning, working and growing in the late 1960's wave of California's business growth when the term "Silicon Valley" was as new as the morning mist over quiet water. In this I earned three US technology patents and have started several companies to deliver valuable products and services when technology provided the means to enrichen human civilization.

In November 1995, the opportunity for me to advance creative political leadership presented itself when Rep Norm Mineta abruptly resigned from office; I shouldered the challenge as a reform candidate for Representative in California's 15th Congressional District.

In California's first open primary election in 1998; I gathered 20% of the conservative vote against Rep. Tom Campbell, on my campaign budget of little more than pocket change, in a campaign program unlike any previous. It was a campaign of creative marketing, not oppressive advertising, and drew electorate interest to my pragmatic campaign message.

Now, in California's 17th Congressional District, I am launching my "Pragmatic Republican Populist" campaign to be your Representative in WDC. My election will be achieved through a coordinated constructive campaign strategy that is greater in design and purpose than yet another typical butting of heads with the current democratic incumbent status quo. This will be accomplished from within my innovative electioneering program that will enable the electorate to understand and appreciate that here and now is the visionary Congressional leadership that they have been searching for. My district focused leadership will also prove to be significant in the revival of California's prosperity.

My winning campaign will be that which demonstrates my leadership by first defining leadership in pragmatic terms in a manner that the voters will recognize as valuable and appropriate venerable logic. This will foster growing electorate confidence in non-career politician candidates by focusing existing strong voter discontent demonstrated in our October 7th Governor recall election.

This winning campaign strategy platform will be of creative marketing, NOT oppressive advertising, AND will appear as different to any previous campaign message means as possible. My campaign mantra is: First EARN electorate attention, and then inform them of the candidate qualifications most appropriate for consideration.
