As a member of a Critical Design Review Team, Herb negotiated and authored a "special condition" regarding the cargo door "closed & fully locked" "visual indication system." This change was incorporated into the federal regulations. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded Herb with a Letter of Appreciation.
