Sacramento Republican Mary Ose is a local businesswoman specializing in real estate development, financial investments and asset management. A licensed real estate broker, she is also a partner in her family's business, where she has been responsible for development planning and entitlement negotiations, property oversight, and the management of the family's businesses, partnerships and corporations.

Prior to entering her family's business, Mary worked in the information technology and banking industries as a site and project manager for a leading software and information processing management company. She also owned and operated a small painting and remodeling company.

A graduate of Rio Americano High School, Mary Ose has been a long-time business leader and community volunteer in the Sacramento area.

She is a member of the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and has served on its board of directors. Mary is a member of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, and serves on several councils connected with her alma mater, Cornell University. She is a UC Master Gardener, and also serves as a volunteer at the Sacramento Railroad Museum.

Mary has served on the boards of KVIE, the Sacramento Science Center, the California State University Sacramento Alumni Association, and was formerly on the advisory council of the Sacramento Valley Open Space Conservancy. She has been a volunteer at the Effie Yeaw Nature Center and the Crocker Art Museum.

Mary Ose earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and social relations from Cornell University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento. She also has a Juris Doctorate from Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley, though she is not a practicing attorney.

She is an avid outdoors person who enjoys hiking, backpacking, gardening, travel and history.

Mary Ose is single and has a 26-year-old daughter, Jennifer.
