Dear Friend,

I am running for State Assembly because I believe that government can improve people's lives. In the State Assembly, I will fight to make a difference for the people of our district. Our community can be even better than it is now.

As a current councilmember and former Mayor of the city of Monte Sereno, I have been an active leader in our community for many years. I have worked to preserve our Open Space, to protect our First Amendment rights, and to keep public services such as libraries available to all. I have the experience to represent the many distinct cities and towns that make up the 21st Assembly District.

As a lawyer, I have practiced high-tech, trademark, copyright, licensing, and estate planning law. I've also worked as a deputy city attorney, helping local governments meet the challenges of state and federal legal requirements. My legal experience in the public and private sector gives me the right background to represent Silicon Valley in the state government.

As a pro-choice Democratic woman, I have the experience to understand the unique needs of our community, and to represent the great diversity of our district.

As your Assemblywoman, I will fight for education, health care, the environment, and common sense fiscal management that puts people first. Working together, we can make government work for our community.
