Someone You Can Trust.

I believe that we should earn our votes, work hard and be honest.

I was not going to respond to the hit piece sent against me by David Townsend, political consultant hired by the Democratic Moderate Caucus, because dirty politics is not my style; but I want to set the record straight:

I never spent $20,000.00 to recruit teachers in Mexico and in Costa Rica with tax payer's money. I spent $1.267.68 to recruit teachers in Mexico with Board approval. I spent $1,054.78 to recruit teachers in Costa Rica with Board approval.

I am a schoolteacher who has dedicated over thirty years of her life to public education. I am a hard working member of my community who has had the privilege of being elected to school boards for over 18 years. I am not looking for a job; just want to make life better for all of us.

I am not a puppy dog to interest groups and dirty politicians. I would much rather lose an election than to win with lies and hurting people.

The voters will decide who the best candidate is.
