As Advocate Supervisor at Child Advocates of San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties, I was responsible for training and overseeing volunteers who help guide youth through the juvenile dependency court system.

As an elected member of the West Bay Sanitary District since 1997, where I serve as President, I've worked to reduce water pollution and protect the Bay. I successfully rooted out corruption and led a sweeping reform effort, restoring fiscal integrity.

As your Assemblymember, I will work to restore excellence in our schools and universities, improve access to quality healthcare, protect our precious natural resources, expand opportunities for children and protect them from harm, and create economic opportunities and jobs for our region.

As an elected official, I balanced budgets and will use this experience to balance the state budget.

I'm proud to come from a family committed to public service. I'm the grandsonof Joe Carcione, the "Greengrocer". In addition to his nationally syndicated television appearances, my grandfather was a passionate consumer advocate. Fighting to protect the public interest is a Carcione family tradition.

My wife Kelly and I live in Menlo Park, where I was raised. I'm a graduate of Georgetown University and University of California Hastings College of the Law.
