Answer from Toni C. Casey:

It will take a proven leader to ensure California receives its fair share of federal resources. Toni Casey has proven herself as that leader with the ability to form an influential coalition. Casey has passed legislation in California and ridden burdensome business regulations within seventeen other states. She will enforce others to understand the necessary and vital nature of California receiving appropriate funds.

Answer from James Stewart:

Without a senator willing to fight for OUR MONEY we will continue to short changed. I will demand that we californians get the BILLIONS owed to us.

Answer from John M. Van Zandt:

elect a republican senator instead of do-nothing democratic barbara boxer. california only gets back 76c for every dollar sent to wash. dc. we are being punished for our liberal leanings. i've heard senators refer to california as the state of fruits, nuts, and flakes.the republican national party gives up on electing legislators because of the tremendous cost of doing so here. republicans need to register more voters in order to be taken seriously.

2. What are your foreign policy priorities for the United States?

Answer from James Stewart:

We must have a clear objective. I feel we need to help those who have the same objectives (human rights,anti-terrorist, free enterprise) And avoid doing business with those that oppose us. We are the largest consumer country in the world and can shape foreign government thinking without firing a shot!

Answer from Danney Ball:

"Think Outside The Boxer"

Answer from John M. Van Zandt:

freedom for the world by 2050. we have just got to stop supporting tyrannies and corruption just because they are opposing our enemies or aiding in fighting terrorism. we must provide an even handed approach to both palestinans and israelis in the mid-east as we have turned the 1.5 million moslem world against us by only supporting israel. we need a plan and instrument to export freedom and i have it. theworldfreedomfederation.com

Answer from James Stewart:

BALANCE,BALANCE and BALANCE.

Answer from Toni C. Casey:

Toni Casey has a five point plan to ensure economic growth and a balanced federal budget.

  • Bringing Federal Tax Dollars Back to California: Supports requiring California's federal tax receipts sent to Washington each year to be spent in California - for California's infrastructure, research facilities, education, and port, rail and border protection. In 2002, Californians sent in excess of $58 billion more in tax receipts to Washington than the state received back in federal spending. Over the last sixteen years, the net defecit of tax receipts has reached $280 billion.

  • Fiscal Responsibility: Support balanced budgets and eliminate the irresponsible pork barrel spending that has become "business as usual" in Washington.

  • Tax Reduction: Make President Bush's tax cuts permanent including permanently eliminating the death tax and marriage tax penalty.

  • Free Trade: Supports Trade Promotion Authority to allow the president to negotiate trade agreements, supports NAFTA, and support's China's membership in the World Trade Organization.

  • Legal Reform: Supports legislation to end frivolous lawsuits and punish litigants who bring frivolous suits to court, and supports the Class Action Fairness Act.
