Candidate for
City Attorney; City of San Diego

My overall objectives are three-fold:

1. To see that the public's business is conducted in open public meetings, thereby preventing back room deals, city property give-aways and Charger/Padre agreements that harm San Diego taxpayers.

2. To operate a legally competent City Attorney's office that provides sound legal and ethical advice to the City Council and maintains a staff of well-prepared and highly skilled attorneys. This will prevent mismanaged pension plans, sloppily drafted agreements, botched trials and costly settlements - all of which divert funds from our police and fire departments.

3. To safeguard our communities by applying the law equally to all San Diegans, by protecting our environment, by prosecuting code violations without discrimination, and by drafting and enforcing utility and service contracts that benefit only the public.
