I have elected not to seek specific endorsements from sitting judges or attorneys, becuase I am concerned about the potential conflicts that could arise whether or not I am elected. For instance, if I am elected and an attorney who openly endorsed me appears in my courtroom, I would probably have to recuse my self and refer the case to another judge. This will impact the client and the system adversely.

I do not seek political endorsements either becuase I question the connection between the politian and the candidate. Judges should be elected based on experience and not on political ties or affiliations.

I do count as a "working endorsement" the fact the the judges of Santa Clara County have, for the past 15 years, appointed me virtually hundreds of times to act as a judge Pro Tem and and a judicial arbitrator, which means that they have and continue to have confidence in my abilities to perform judicial functions.

I am very proud of the endorsement from the Santa Clara County Bar association and recently I was enforced by "The Recorder" a local legal newspaper.
