I want to become a judge to keep justice alive in the courtroom and to reach the pinnacle of my profession - the law. My relationship with Municipal Court judges had a profound effect on my desire to become a judge. I will see that justice is done among all litigants, no matter what background, race, creed, or disability. I will address major issues of the court concerning budgetary waste and reorganization.

My experience covers 5 years in Civil related matters, 13 years in Criminal matters, and over 100 Jury trials. Through my years in the courtroom I have had an excellent and respectful relationship with judges, prosecutors, attorneys and courtroom staff.

I will use my influence as a judge outside the courtroom to work to stop one of the largest problems facing our communities - gang killings, violence, and other gang related crimes.

I believe that the core of the situation lies in parental attention, involvement and discipline. I plan to personally meet with parents and youth for frank discussions to find realistic solutions.

I am a proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force. I am a civil servant at heart who has served in every level of government - federal, state, county and city. I will stay in touch with the public's concerns and use my discretion wisely.

My years of community involvement include: Calvary Baptist Church of San Fernando/Pacoima Co-Chairman of the Children's Department, Director of the Children's Choir for over 20 years Afro American Film Institute President Black Public Defenders Association (past President) California Association of Black Lawyers Executive Board Member John M. Langston Bar Association National Bar Association Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity This is a most difficult and very challenging race, but I will win it with your strong and firm support. My election will make a difference because I will do the right thing and won't yield to political pressures.

I must have financial support to win this county wide judicial race! I must campaign throughout the entire county and I need you to be as generous as you can. I am requesting a contribution of $100.00; however, every dollar is critical and I implore you to give whatever you can, no matter how small. I need your help now in order to campaign effectively during this last crucial stage.

I started with a grass seed of faith, which has turned into a grass roots campaign with the help of those who have supported me thus far. You know that you can count on me and you will appreciate the job I'll do for you as judge. I'd like to thank you in advance for your tremendously important sacrifice to support my campaign, hopes and determination. I know that I can count on you, and am counting on you!

I can and will win this race with your support...and prayers, and the support of your family, friends, co-workers and colleagues. I pledge to you that I will give my all to this campaign, and will be a candidate that you can be proud to support. I need your vote on March 2, 2004.

Respectfully yours,
