Candidate for
Council Member; City of Hayward

Bill has been married to Dr. Gail Dennis Ward since 1967. Gail is an early childhood education specialist, and is active in the community as a member of the Alameda County Children and Families (First Five) Commission, Alameda County Child Care Coordinating Council, the Hayward Arts Council and other Boards and Commissions. Bill and Gail have raised their two children in Hayward.

Prior to his election to the Hayward City Council, Bill served as a member of the Citizens Advisory Commission, the Board of Zoning Adjustments, and the Hayward Planning Commission. Bill serves as the city's representative on the Alameda County Housing Authority, the East Bay Dischargers Authority (EBDA), the ABAG/MTC/BCDC Regional Airport Planning Committee and is active on other regional bodies.

Bill Ward has supported the needs of Hayward families and seniors for many years.
