The Future of our School DistrictBy Sandy StephensCandidate for Board Member; Southwest Local School District | |
This information is provided by the candidate |
Growth and Techology are critical to our DistrictI feel that growth is our number one issue in our school district. Schools are the number one reason people move into a community. That is why everyone benefits from good schools. Our district is growing rapidly, it is estimated that over 400 new residences will be in our district in 2 years. Planning needs to be our focus as we look at the future of the district. I also feel that we need to work closely with the community leaders and involve them as well as parents and students of the community so that everyone can share and help with planning our future. Technology is another issue that we need to look at in our district. I believe that we should have the best equipment not only for our educators, but for our students.Having the proper tools make the job not only easier but better. And to maintain the technology we need to have the best team to support and maintain the equipment that we have. |
