Good Fiscal Management

I believe that proper financial management and ethical business practices are the foundation of successful municipal government.
Throughout the Village's history, Evendale residents have enjoyed exceptional public facilities and services such as those provided by our Police, Fire, Recreation and Public Works Departments. It is vital that our local government works to maintain and, where possible, expand these facilities and services by returning to the thoughtful and well-planned management of Village revenues and expenditures. The Finance Committee of Council should meet monthly to determine whether the financial plan is progressing according to projections and make recommendations for change if needed.

I am opposed to acquiring long-term debt without a vote of the residents and I would strive to see that all non-routine expenditures would have full and open disclosure.
