The continued growth of Turlock will occur and we need to be ready to build the schools needed at the appropriate time.The Turlock Joint Elementary District is currently planning for the construction of two elementary schools during the years of 2004-2006. This will help to relieve some of the current student populations at existing schools and provide the room for new students that are arriving with the housing growth. While building these schools will provide relief, we still need to look forward to plan for another Junior High/Middle School. The Board will provide the direction needed to help with the planning of the school and the possible location of where the school will be sited. I have been on the Board while the planning for the two new elementary schools has taken place and I plan on using this experience to help to guide the planning for the future schools that Turlock will need. |
