Caņada College, College of San Mateo & Skyline College are gems that belong to our community. Sustaining and improving the luster of these educational gems requires diligently maintaining the quality of our District's employees and facilities and simultaneously leveraging other resources that are within our reach.

For the past eight years, I have had the privilege of serving the citizens of this County as a San Mateo County Community College District Trustee. Proudly, I have helped transform the Board into a collaborative unit where (a) the voices of the students, community, administration, faculty and staff are heard, (b) pro-activity has replaced complacency, and (c) focus on the community's educational needs is never lost.

Believing new heights can be reached through cooperation, innovation and leadership, I have worked hard to serve the citizenry and valued my opportunity to act as a steward for our community colleges. I look forward to continuing to ensure access to educational programs that can better every San Mateo County resident, while managing the fiscal realities of our times.
