I have lived on the Coastside for over 13 years. My wife is a high school Biology teacher at the HMB High School. My three children have graduated from HMB High School and gone on to graduate from Caltech, U.C. Berkeley, and U.C. Davis.

Below is my resume of Coastal Community Service:

Midcoast Community Council (MCC)
- 8 years of Service
- Former Chair, Vice-chair, Treasure
- Pressed continually for our Local Coastal Program Review, which is now is progress.

Planning and Zoning Committee of the MCC
- Organized the original Planning and Zoning committee with three other individuals.
- 6 years of service
- Served as Chair and Vice-chair.

Parks and Recreation Committee of the MCC
- Current Chair

Save Our Shores (Organized to protect the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary)
- Current Member of the Board of Directors
- Current Secretary
- Former Chair of the Northern Advisory Committee of SOS which was formed to represent the activities of the Northern portion of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary
- Helped introduce the Steward Program in the HMB High School.

Former alternate to the Central Committee of the San Mateo County Democratic party

Sierra Club member and serving on the Political Advisory Committee of the local chapter.

San Mateo County League for Coastside Protection (LCP)
- Member of the Executive Committee

Creek Cleanup Campaigns
- Restoration of Pilarcitos Creek with RCD funding.
- Clean-up of Pilarcitos Creek with Save our Shores.

Initiative Campaigns
- Active campaigner for Measure T (the Tunnel)
- Active Campaigner for Measure F (Open Space)

Active in "Right-Sizing" projects to an appropriate size for our community.
