I have lived in this district for over 40 years, having attended elementary and high school here.

I am currently serving as president of the Board of Trustees of the Sequoia High School District, and have been on this board for the past 4 years.

I am proud to say that I have helped focus our district on student achievement, which has had a direct impact on the many positive changes our district, has accomplished over the past 4 years.

I am the proud parent of two children who are attending Woodside High School.

As a regular member of Education Committees for both the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce and Redwood City + San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce, and the Redwood City Rotary helps me stay current on issues affecting education and our community.

I was very involved in our bond campaigns (Measure G) and also in the fight to keep the state from grabbing our property tax.

I also serve on the Board of the Sequoia YMCA
