Lets look at finding ways to increase our revenues. Some ways of doing that would be:
- Charging a tournament fee at our golf course to any new tournaments. No change in fees to any Sunnyvale tournaments or Sunnyvale Clubs.
- Look at keeping Golf Fees for Residents lower than Golf Fees for Non-Residents. We have more Non-Residents playing our course so this would also increase revenues.
- Doing a slight increase of park fees at Baylands Park. This increase could help with the upkeep of the Park.
- Increasing business license fees. Sitting down with our businesses to find a tax that would work for them. Even a small increase could be used to help our budget.
- Working with owners of Motels and Hotels to find a transit tax that they can live with or making it a sliding scale so they will not be paying a high fee during difficult times.
These are just a few areas that we might want to look at. We also need to recheck the budget to see if other areas can be explored.
We have a reserve that can also help us through these tough times.
