Born: SF in 1955; moved to Marin in 1957.

Family: Father, chemical engineer for Chevron Research, now on St. Vincent de Paul Board; Mother, homemaker and active in Catholic Daughters over 35 years. Two brothers and one older sister. Dad and brothers all Eagle scouts; Judy attained First Class Girl Scout, the highest rank.

She is married to Jeff Schriebman, owner of Leapfrog Productions, and has two children, David and Robin, who are both in college. They have two cats and six chickens.

Profession: Homeopath & Hypnotherapist; Writer. Owns and operates her private practice at E. St. Alternatives, which she co-founded in 1996 in San Rafael, CA. Currently working on a Homeopathic text due to be published in November, 2003 and a fantasy trilogy looking for an agent.

Education: Graduate (1978) of UC Berkeley in Zoology. Post-grad training in Homeopathy from Hahnemann College of Homeopathy, Albany, CA. She is a certified Classical Homeopath and RSHom(NA). Further training in Hypnotherapy, where she earned a Master Clinical Hypnotherapist certification.

Environmentalist: Long family vacation trips to our incredible state and national parks and a love for animals sparked a life-long passion for the natural environment, leading to her training as a zoologist at UC Berkeley. Social and environmental action began in high school, with participation in the first Earth Day and instituting her family's recycling efforts. She helped tag sea turtles in the Galapagos Islands during college on an Audubon Society grant. She gardens organically and is a member of the Sierra Club, Bioneers, the Wilderness Society, the Nature Conservancy, Greenpeace, Friends of the River, ICT, Amnesty International, NRDC and CalPIRG.

Community: Since returning to Marin in 1990, Judy immediately became active in her neighborhood association, holding the positions of Secretary, President, Vice-President and Newsletter Editor. She has participated on the Dixie-Terra Linda Little League Board (3 years), Dixie Soccer (2 years on board; 2 years coach) and was a major volunteer at Terra Linda High School, where she was a founding member of OneTL, helping to raise over $200,000 for various school programs. She has also been a six year member of the Committee for Academic Excellence and co-chair of the Garden Project, which completely renovated the Courtyard garden, Teacher's lunch area and amphitheater. She raised funds, wrote a grant, assembled the plants, helped organize the student and parent workers and helped install and maintain the drip irrigation system and plantings.
