We are currently preparing our master plans for both facilities and academia which will guide us into the next decade and they are both essential for any successful institution that wants to survive.The facilities master plan will enable us to put a fixed cost on the bond we will be seeking. We have some estimates on costs to bring both campuses up to current safety and academic requirements but we need the specifics that only a master plan can provide. Once that is completed we can begin the process of informing the public on specific needs and costs which at this point are general estimates and in my opinion somewhat conservative. Academic master plan will provide us with the information we need to determine our faculty and staffing needs. Combining the two master plans will enable us to define our institutional needs in the coming decade and allow us to plan appropriately. Given our contemporary society it will be essential that in both cases we need be mindful of family child care needs. With single parent families and/or both working parent we must be mindful of the fact that child care is a desperate need for a very large percentage of our students. |
