Working to Protect our Quality of LifeAs your City Council Member, I have dedicated myself to reaching out to community members from all neighborhoods to engage them in important planning and decision making for San Rafael. The response has been terrific and the results are tremendous. Thousands of residents from diverse backgrounds participate in San Rafael city government, volunteer projects and community activities. We enjoy a vibrant Downtown, excellent parks and recreational opportunities. We are served by exceptional public safety and emergency services. Our healthy local economy does not come at the expense of our quality of life or natural environment. From new parking downtown to the rebuilt pool and gateway entrance in Terra Linda, we are at work on dozens of local projects to support our community. Protecting the environment is essential, and recently we acquired significant open space on Gold Hill Grade. The next four years will be challenging for San Rafael. We will face further budget cuts and belt tightening. We must maintain a high level of service, and set high standards so that new development does not threaten our quality of life. I offer my experience and my commitment to serve everyone in our community. Please vote Paul Cohen for San Rafael City Council. |
